Mwamba Rugby Club head coach Kevin Wambua has termed Collins Injera’s presence in their match against Blak Blad as massive.

Injera was making his first appearance for Mwamba since the 2019/20 season and he marked his returned by inspiring Kulabu to the first win of the season.

Mwamba took a slim lead to break and had a much better second half scoring 21 points to win the clash. Wambua says Injera’s leadership and talk worked the magic in their victory.

“It was massive, you can see the leadership he brings in. First half we played like 30 minutes in the Blad’s territory but we could not get points,” Wambua told the Scrummage.

“It was a decision making but the moment Collins talked to them we played much better in the second. For him being a leader and all that experience that he has is massive for us,” he added.

Mwamba are ninth on the log with five points and face Nakuru RFC in their next match.
