Kenya Cup standings after week five action

Menengai Oiler moved top on the Kenya Cup standings following their 16-15 win over Kenya Harlequins on Saturday.

Gibson Weru charges picked four points in the win and have moved to 24 points on the log and are still unbeaten. Strathmore Leos fourth win of the season which saw them earn bonus point has propelled them to the second spot with 21 points.

Kabras RFC who were not in action on Saturday have dropped to the third spot and have 20 points following four straight wins.

Defending Champions KCB Rugby are up to fourth with 16 points, they got the third win of the season by beating Impala Saracens. Their match against Blak Blad that failed to kick off last year has been counted as draw.

Kenya Harlequins picked a point away in Nakuru against Oilers and have 14 points on the log from their opening five matches. MMUST and Homeboyz are tied on 10 points but separated by point differential. Both sides have two wins in five matches.

Blak Blad with one win and two draws have nine points at position eight. Mwamba’s first win of the season put them at position nine with level points as 10th placed Nondies.

Nakuru RFC have dropped back to the relegation zone after suffering the fourth loss of the season. Impala Saracens stay bottom with no points.
