Kenya Simbas to play Spanish side Diables Barcelona in final match of SA tour

Kenya Simbas final match of the South African Tour will be against Spanish Side Diables Barcelona.

According to a statement on KRU website, the Simbas will not face South African provincial side, Cheetahs as previously announced.

The team will instead face Diables Barcelona in a match slated for Thursday 25 November in Bloemfontein and it will kick off at 6:30 PM. The match is part of the Toyota Intercontinental Invitational Series.

“The Simbas will wind up their three-week tour of South Africa with a clash against Spanish side, Diables Barcelona, and not South African provincial side, Cheetahs as had been previously announced,” reads a statement by KRU.

“This clash which is part of the Toyota Intercontinental Invitational Series will take place on Thursday 25 November 2021 in Bloemfontein, South Africa at 6.30pm EAT and will be broadcast live on SuperSport 211,” the statement concluded.

The Simbas will be hoping to end the year on high. They have played five matches in 2021 winning two matches against Zambia and Brazil.

In the South Africa Tour, the Simbas played Currie Cup Champions team losing 85-17, went down 60-24 against Namibia and beat Brazil 36-30 to claim Bronze in the Stellenbosch Challenge.
