Shamas Foundation beat Maseno reach Nationwide Semis

Shamas Foundation are through to the Nationwide Semis after beating Maseno University 22-0 in the quarters staged at RFUEA Grounds on Saturday 6 November.

Eight points in the first half and 14 in the closing half saw the Nairobi Champions edge close to the KRU Championship. Ham Hamisi scored a penalty at the 14th minute for his side to lead 3-0.

The side held on to the slim lead till the dying minutes of the first half when hooker Fidel Maina crossed over for the first try of the game.

In the final 40 minutes, vice-captain and centre Godfrey Kisero landed the second try of the match with Hamisi adding the extras for a 15-0 lead.

Winger Clement Ashila scored the final try late in the second half and Timothy Lugalia converted for a 22-0 win.

Shamas now shift focus on the semis scheduled for next weekend.
