Kitale RFC have proceeded to the Nationwide semis after beating JKUAT Cougars 27-8 in the quarters played at St Joseph Kitale on Saturday.
A tough first half was witnessed with each side managing eight points following a penalty and try. Lawrence Wamalwa scored the first points of the game off the boot after a penalty. The visitors responded with a try from winger Jafeth Okello.
Kitale also managed to score the first try through winger Timothy Rutto to lead 8-5. Eugene Asava would tie the scores at 8-8 after drilling in a penalty.

In the final half, Kitale landed three tries with Brevia Barasa opening the second half scores with a try. Tries from Leonard Kamati and Alvin Odwako followed and were converted for a 27-8 win.
At Kabarak University, Kabarak beat 38-29 in the third quarter. The match between Citam Kisumu and Daystar Falcons which was scheduled for Maseno University failed to kick off. The Scrummage understands visitors have been awarded a win.
