South Africa’s speedster Angelo Davids finished the Vancouver 7s as the top try scorer scoring 10 tries for his side.
10 tries saw Davids become the first player to hit double figures in a single tournament in Canada and the first to score 10 tries in a Series event since France’s Terry Bouhraoua at Cape Town in 2017.
Davids bagged four tries in the first match against Mexico and added six more in the final five matches.
Kenya 7s forward Alvin Otieno finished second on the try-scorers list with seven tries in six matches played in the competition. Buffa bagged a brace in wins against Ireland and USA.

USA’s Malacchi Esdale and player of the final Ronald Brown had six tries each. Bastian Bosch, John Dawe and Mark Denmark had five tries in the competition.
Eight players had four tries while 12 players including DHL impact player winner Daniel Taabu and Willy Ambaka had three tries each. Debutantes Alvin Marube and Levy Amunga had two tries each.
Bastian van der Bosch was the top points scorer with 51 points following five tries and 13 conversions.
Davids with 50 points, Brown with 42 points, Taabu with 39, and Dewald Human were in the top five.
