Philip Wokorach helps ASBC move top in Federal 1

Ugandan International Philip Wokorach continued to impress as AS Bédarrides-Châteauneuf du Pape (A.S.B.C) whipped CS Nuiton 54-33 in the second match of the season to move top of the standings.

Wokorach started in the midfield as an outside centre and bagged 19 points in the match as his side picked a bonus-point victory. The utility back scored and converted his try at the 29th minute and strung in six more conversions in the win.

His side would take a 49-12 lead to the break having scored eight tries with seven being converted by Wokorach.

On return from the break, his side added a five-pointer while their opponent raced on for 21 points but the points were not enough. The win sees Wokorach’s side move to nine points after two straight wins. Wokorach has now bagged 38 points in two appearances.

US Seynoise are second with eight points and are also unbeaten. ASBC will be back in action on 19 September for the third match of the season.
