Great Britain Men’s head coach Tony Roques has named a squad for the Vancouver 7s on 18-19 September and Edmonton 7s on 25-26 September.
The men’s Series competition sees the 12 teams divided into three pools of four teams, following the format used at the Olympic Games.
GB Sevens have been drawn in Pool B and will face Ireland and invitational teams Hong Kong and Jamaica.
Tom Bowen, Alex Davis, Robbie Fergusson, Ross McCann and Max McFarland, who all featured for Team GB in Tokyo, are set to compete. Wales’ Luke Treharne and Morgan Williams are selected alongside Tom Emery, Paddy Kelly and Jamie Farndale – who were part of the wider GB Sevens training squad pre-Olympics.
Jamie Barden, previously of England 7s and now studying at the University of Nottingham joins the squad along with Calum Randle, who has previous international experience with France and Freddie Roddick who impressed in this year’s domestic Super Sevens Series
The events in Canada will form the 2021 Series, with the Series title awarded in Edmonton.
