Kabras duo bag awards as Kenya Cup season ends

Despite losing the Kenya Cup final in sudden death, Kabras RFC duo Brian Tanga and Ntabeni Dukisa bagged awards as the 2021 season came to an end.

Dukisa, a South Africa import scored 10 points for Kabras in their 28-25 loss to KCB at Nandi Bears Club and his performance earned him the Man of the Match Award.

The fly-half also scooped the top points scorer award having dominated the scoring charts this season.

Dukisa ends the season with 113 points thanks to three tries, 38 conversions and nine penalties.

His teammate and scrum-half Tanga went home with the top try scorer award following the eight tries that he touched down in the regular season.

Kabras threw away a 20-0 halftime lead to lose 28-25 in sudden death after a penalty by Darwin Mukidza.

The bankers rose from a slow first half which saw two of their players stretched off with injuries to score 25 points in the closing half which send the game to extra time.

This is Kabras fifth straight loss to KCB in the finals.
