Kabras RFC have announced their squad that will tackle KCB Rugby in the Kenya Cup final set for Nandi Bears Club on Saturday 4 April at 2:00 PM.
They have stuck to the starting squad that beat Strathmore Leos 39-19 in the Kenya Cup semi-final last weekend. It’s Hillary Mwanjilwa, Eugene Sifuna and Asuman Mugerwa tasked with front-row duties.
The second row has usual suspects Hillary Odhiambo and Brian Juma. The back row consists of George Nyambua, skipper Dan Sikuta and Jeanson Musoga.
At number nine is top try scorer Brian Tanga who has dotted eight tries this season. Ntabeni Dukisa, currently the leading points scorer with 103 points stays at fly-half.

In the midfield, the coaches have retained Bryceson Adaka and Fijian Timoci Senaite. The back three is also unchanged with last weekend’s hat trick hero Derrick Ashihundu, Fijian Born Kenyan International Jone Kubu and vice-captain Felix Ayange starting together.
The changes have been made on the bench with Teddy Akala moving to the bench as the reserve hooker, Kenya Under 20 star Collins Indeche has also been included in the squad following the absence of Shem Angugo. Valerian Tendwa has replaced Walter Okoth.
Ephraim Oduor, Joseph Odero, Alfred Orege, Kevin Wekesa and Barry Robinson complete the match-day 23.
It will be Kabras’ sixth Kenya Cup final since their promotion in 2014. They have managed just one win in the last five final appearances. The win was against Impala Saracens when they beat the Gazelles 22-5 at Impala Club on May 7 2016 to be crowned Champions.
The other four finals have been against KCB and have bounced the bankers’ way. Kabras head to this hoping to match KCB’s 2017/18 record which saw them go the whole season unbeaten to claim the Kenya Cup sixth title.
The Sugarmen have a 100% win record this season winning all their matches before the finals. They beat Strathmore Leos 39-19 in the semis last weekend to reach the final for the sixth time in a row.
They are enjoying a 19-match winning run that stretches way back from 21 December 2019.
Their last defeat came on 14 December when they narrowly lost 20-17 to Homeboyz in a 2019/20 regular season clash.
