Kabras RFC are set to host the Kenya Cup final at the Nandi Bears Club on Saturday 4 September 2021.
The Sugarmen will tackle KCB Rugby Club, this being the fourth consecutive face off final for the two sides. The two also met in the 2014/15 final with KCB winning all the last four final meetings.
The highly anticipated final will commence at 2:00 PM with Moses Ndung’u being the centre referee.
Kabras have used their Kakamega Showground once this season and it was on first day of the campaign where they beat MMUST 56-0 in February.
They started using the Nandi Bears Club as their alternative home ground in July following the restrictions put in place by Government to reduce the spread of COVID- 19 in Western region counties.
The venue hosted Kabras matches against Menengai Oilers, KCB and the semi against Strathmore Leos with Kabras winning all the matches.
“Kabras and defending champions KCB meet in the 2021 Kenya Cup final at 2.00pm at the Nandi Bears Club on Saturday 4 September 2021, reads a confirmation by Kenya Cup.
“Kabras have been using the Nandi Bears Club as their home ground for the better part of this season, and since they were the highest ranked team at the close of the league phase, they were guaranteed a home semifinal and final in the event that they emerged victorious,” the statement further reads.
