Kenya Cup semis: One match to be aired live

As the Kenya Cup season enters the semi-final stage, one match is set to be aired live by the league’s official broadcasters K24.

The match set for live broadcast is the second semi-final pitting Kenya Cup holders KCB Rugby and Menengai Oilers.

The match is set to kick off at 2:00 PM and fans can follow it via the stream link

“Catch the semifinal between KCB and Menengai Oilers at 2.00 pm on Saturday 28 August 2021 live on from the KCB Sports Club in Ruaraka,” reads a statement by Kenya Cup.

This will be the sixth Kenya Cup meeting between KCB Rugby and Menengai Oilers. The bankers have dominated this fixture winning all the last five matches since the Oilers joined the top tier.

Curtis Olago charges have scored a total of 164 points in the five meetings and have conceded 68 points.

Oilers have come close twice losing 29-20 in their second meeting in the debut season and 22-19 in the just-concluded regular season where KCB scored a penalty in the dying minutes to win the clash.

The first semifinal between Kabras RFC and Menengai Oilers will also kick off at 2:00 PM at the Nandi Bears Club but will not be broadcasted live.

Kabras are eyeing the sixth consecutive final qualification while Oilers are in search of their maiden.
