Kenya Cup week nine had five matches being played with KCB Rugby and Kabras RFC maintaining their unbeaten runs.
KCB will spend another week on top of the Kenya Cup log thanks to their stoppage-time win over Menengai Oilers. Their narrow 22-19 win against Oilers gave the side four points that have seen them move to 28 points.
It’s only a gap of three points separating them and second-placed Kabras who have a game in hand. Kabras fifth win of the season saw them move to 25 points after extending their winning run.
Despite suffering the second defeat of the season, Menengai Oilers will stay third on the Kenya Cup standings with 17 points. Impala Saracens also stay fourth with 11 points, they suffered the second loss of the season, going down 21-12 to MMUST Rugby.
Strathmore Leos second win of the season has propelled them to position five with 11 points. Nakuru and Kenya Harlequins drop to sixth and seventh respectively having lost to Kabras and Nondies on Saturday.
Mwamba and MMUST are tied on eight points and Blak Blad have dropped to 10th with Nondies staying bottom despite their first win of the season.
