Strathmore beat Blak Blad for second Kenya Cup win

Strathmore Leos have picked the second win of the season thanks to their 25-10 victory over Blak Blad in a Kenya Cup match played at RFUEA Grounds.

Louis Kisia charges have now collected 11 points from five matches played this season. The Student had a strong start scoring 18 points in the first half and seven in the closing half. Kenya Under 20 ace Andrew Matoka went over for the opener which went unconverted.

Winger Brunson Mudigu joined the scoresheet with a penalty and a try that put Strathmore’s scores at 13-0. Their final try came in the closing 10 minutes with Festus Shiasi touching down a try that changed the scores to 18-0.

In the final half, Blad were able to trim the gap with Kevin Gathu’s three-pointer. Strathmore went on to score the most important try through Bethuel Anami and Lucas Opal conversion saw them get to 25 points.

Blad scored a late try through Dennis Opiyo with Gathu converting.
