KCB Rugby winning run continued with a narrow 22-19 win over Menengai Oilers a Kenya Cup encounter at Nakuru ASK Grounds on Saturday evening.
A penalty in stoppage time made the difference for the bankers. The bankers have once again failed to pick a bonus point but will stay on top of the log with 28 points. KCB started off impressively scoring a try at the sixth minute and it was converted for 7-0.
Curtis Olago charges doubled the lead with a converted try at the 25th minute. Oilers pulled back six minutes later before the bankers scored their third. The hosts hit back at the 39th minute for a 19-12 scoreline at halftime.
In the final half, Andrew Odero landed Oilers third try that tied the scores at 19-19 at the 69th minute . A late penalty by KCB would lift them past a looming draw.
At RFUEA Grounds, Nondies beat Kenya Harlequins 13-8.
