All the Kenya Cup matches which were slated for Saturday 12 June 2021 have been postponed in honour of departed Kenya 7s legend Benjamin Ayimba, Kenya Rugby Union has confirmed.
Ayimba was laid to rest on Friday Morning in Siaya County. According to a statement by the Kenya Cup, the season which had been suspended for months will now resume on 19 June 2021.
“In honour of departed Kenyan rugby legend Benjamin Ayimba, fixtures set for r12 June 2021 are postponed. League action resumes on Saturday 19 June 2021,” reads a statement by Kenya Cup.
According to the schedule released on 31 May, five matches were set to take place this weekend. Kakamega Showground was to host a double header same to KCB Sports Club.

Menengai Oilers were scheduled to rest. The league will now resume with match day six fixtures
