The Rugby Africa Barthes U20 Trophy will kick off on 24 June to 3 July with defending champions Kenya Under 20, Namibia, Senegal and Madagascar set to take part.
According to Kenya Rugby Union, the competition will be held at the Nyayo National Stadium in Nairobi.
“This year’s competition will be held at the Nyayo National Stadium in Nairobi from 24 June to 3 July and features four teams led by the defending champions Kenya, Namibia, Senegal and Madagascar,” reads a statement by Kenya Rugby Union.

The tournament organized by Rugby Africa, returns after failing to take place in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic which has affected the whole world. The 2019 edition saw Kenya beat Namibia 21-18 to qualify for the World Junior Trophy.
Barthes Cup is held on an annual basis and the winners of the competition earn the right to represent the African continent at the World Rugby Junior Trophy.
Newly appointed Kenya Under 20 Head Curtis Olago will guide the side in the title defence.
