South Africa too good for Kenya 7s in Solidarity 7s

South Africa once again proved superior as they beat Kenya 7s 38-7 in the third match of the Rugby Africa Solidarity 7s played on Friday evening in Stellenbosch.

As it has been the first two matches against SA in the competition, Kenya 7s conceded first with  JC Pretorius feeding Impi Visser for the first try which was converted for a 7-0 lead.

Justin Geduld landed the second try which he converted for a 14-0 scoreline. With seconds to play, Blitzboks crossed over for the third try which was scored by Ruhan Nel after a pick and go from the ruck after Visser was stopped just before he crossed over.

From the break, SA continued to dominate the encounter and they went over for another try which was after Kenya lost possession and Selvyn Davids cross kick was fielded by skipper Siviwe Soyizwapi to score the fourth try.

Nelson Oyoo solo effort try which saw him beat five markers handed Kenya 7s a consolation that Daniel Taabu converted. SA landed two late tries with Davids unleashing a pass to Chris Dry for a converted try while Muller du Plessis scored the final try after racing onto his own kick to ground the ball.

Kenya will be back to action on Sunday
