Kenya 7s fell to South Africa 27-14 in the second match of the Rugby Africa Solidarity 7s played on Saturday in Stellenbosch.
South Africa settled quickly and ran two successive tries on the left side through Branco du Preez and Ruhan Nel. The third try came on the right side but all their conversion attempts went wide.
Kenya 7s then responded after Harold Anduvate offloaded to supporting Herman Humwa for a try that saw Kenya trim the gap to eight points heading to the break.
On return from the break, Vincent Onyala was penalized for his charge on Nel they were chasing a kick. The resulting penalty which was in Kenya’s territory saw SA break for another try.

Zain Davids then pounced on a kick on the left to score the fourth try against Shujaa. Nelson Oyoo pulled back for Kenya after a break from his own half. The try was converted for a 27-14 scoreline.
Kenya will be back in action at 2:50 pm for a match against SA Academy. SA 1 will take on Zimbabwe in the final match of the day.
