Kobs put 15 tries past Impis, Pirates, Heathens keep hopes alive

Kobs edged closer to the title after picking a convincing 91-0 win over Impis in the penultimate round of the Uganda Premiership campaign.

The side put 15 tries past Impis in the match staged at Makerere. The Leagues 2021 Top try scorer Pius Ogena bagged another hat-trick of tries while James Odongo, Ian Munyani and James Ijongat managed two tries each. Brian Asaba, Daudi Ssemwami, Edgar Sseruwagi, Trevor Maina and Brian Ochan had a try each. The side also got a Penalty try in the win.

The side has now hit 38 points ahead of the last match of the season.

Pirates also kept their dream alive after beating Hippos 33-11 in the round eight match staged at Kings Parks.

Timothy Kisiga had two tries and was joined on the scoresheet by Ivan Kabagambe, Solomon Okia and
Ivan Magomu. They have 35 points in the eight matches played this season.

Title holders Heathens also stayed in the race after a 43-9 win over Mongers in Entebbe. Lawrence Ssebuliba with two tries, Scott Oluoch, Santos Senteza,  Joseph Bulago, Innocent Gwokto and Gamma Faisal were the scorers in the match.

Warrriors finally ended they losing streak beating Rams 24-19.
