Kenya 7s are set for a two-week camp at Kasarani as preparations for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics continue.
A total of 21 players are in the camp which commenced on Wednesday morning. The camp organized by National Olympics Committee- Kenya comes days after the Emirates Invitational 7s. Collins Injera is back in the 21-man squad after missing out in the last two tournaments.
Dennis Ombachi, Alvin Marube, Mark Kwemoi, Levi Amunga and Herman Humwa are also part of the 21-man list.
The team is expected to head to South Africa for the Rugby Africa Men 7s solidarity camp in Stellenbosch from 6th May with the first tournament set to take place on 8th and 9th May while the second one will be held on 14th and 15th May.
The hosts South Africa, Zimbabwe and Uganda are part of the teams expected to be part of The Stellenbosch Academy of Sport for the training camp. The camp is aimed at assisting teams that have already qualified for the Olympics and Olympics Repechage in their preparations for the event later this year in Tokyo.
Due to the ongoing global pandemic, the four teams will operate within bubble during their ten-day stay in Stellenbosch from 6th to 16th May 2021.
