Kenya Lionesses fall narrowly to Poland at Madrid 7s

Kenya Lionesses narrowly lost 12-10 to Poland in the Madrid 7s day two opening match played on Sunday.

Felix Oloo’s charges who got their first win as a 22-0 against hosts Spain on Saturday went to the match aiming at picking the second win at the tournament.

They however found themselves behind in the opening minutes as they allowed Poland to score the first try of the match. Janet Okello responded for the Lionesses with the first try but the conversion was not successful.

Lionesses would then take the lead after Cristabel Lindo’s try. The conversion attempt was off target.

The Kenyan Ladies were then forced to play with a lesser personnel after Celestine Masinde was sent to the bin.

The Poles then added a final try bringing the scores to 12-10. The side will be back in action later in action for the final matches of competition.
