Brian Omondi and Wilfred Waswa have left Northern Suburbs to join Kenya Cup sides Nondies and KCB ahead of the 2021 campaign, Head Coach Simon Jawichre has confirmed.
Their move comes after playing the final game for Suburbs on Saturday which ended as a 23-6 loss to Strathmore Leos, ending their Kenya Cup dream.
The two completed their moves in the last transfer window but were eligible to play till the end of the Championship 2019/20 season which ended on Saturday.
Jawichre says they are keen to create a strong squad and allowing some players to move out for greener pastures is a way of paving the way to the rising talents in their squad.
“This was Waswa’s last game for us, same for Brian who is moving to Nondies. They were our 15s and 7s captains respectively. We are trying to build a big base and by allowing some players move we are creating space for others,” Jawichre told Scrummage.
