Kenya Rugby Union have announced an opportunity for a Kenyan rugby player to join Crusader Academy at the Australia-based University of Wollongong.
According to a statement posted by KRU, the opportunity is available to male players who have enrolled for an academic program at any University.
Interested applicants must be able to cover costs for accommodation and sustenance in Australia as well as the Crusaders Academy fees while their tuition fees will be catered for.
The applicant should have either represented Kenya junior teams or senior teams in rugby and make a commitment to represent Kenya in future.
“Kenya Rugby Union would like to announce an opportunity for a rugby player to join the Crusader Academy at the University of Wollongong (UOW) in Australia. Interested applicants must fulfill the criteria below:
1. Male players only in this instance
2. Already enrolled in an academic program in any university
3. Ability to meet part costs of the program. The tuition fee at the University will be covered. However, the applicant will have to cover accommodation and sustenance costs in Australia as well as the Crusaders Academy fees
4. The ideal applicant would have represented the National team either at the Junior or Senior level and make a future commitment to represent Kenya,” reads part of the statement.
“Interested applicants to send their queries to email@example.com, clearly stating the current course they are enrolled for, the educational institution, evidence of research as to whether the said course is offered at UOW, a brief playing history specific to 4. above, as well as indicating the ability to bear some costs of the program. This is open to all, in both Kenyan and Foreign Universities.” Statement further reads.
KRU shall vet the applicants.
