Kenya Rugby Union has invited 29 players for medical assessments ahead of preparations for the upcoming season which will have the World 7s Series and Olympics campaign.
The players have started their medical and physical assessments as required by the government as well as World Rugby due the COVID-19 pandemic. The tests started on 10th November 2020 at RFUEA Grounds.
Those who have been invited for assessments include 2019 National 7s Circuit winners with KCB; Andrew Amonde, Vincent Onyala, Jacob Ojee, Geoffrey Okwach, Johnstone Olindi and Levy Amunga. Mwamba’s Collins Injera, Billy Odhiambo, Daniel Taabu, Tony Omondi and Mike Okello.
Impala’s Alvin Marube and Sammy Oliech, Nakuru’s Oscar Ouma and Nelson Oyoo, Quin’s trio Willy Ambaka, Herman Humwa and Eden Agero and Homeboyz’ Jeffrey Oluoch, Bush Mwale and Alvin Otieno have all landed the invited.
Other players called up include Brian Tanga and Dan Sikuta of Kabras, Harold Anduvate, Derrick Keyoga and Mark Kwemoi of Oilers, Oscar Dennis and Dennis Ombachi- Nondies and Achadius Khwesa.
After the medicals, the side is expected to train bubble once they get the green light from the Government.
