Kenya Rugby Union has given its affiliates tentative dates for the return to action subject to approval by the Government.

With the 2019/20 season having been ended with no winners being declared, the clubs are to be given a minimum of four weeks for pre-season preparations as per the KRU regulations.  The affiliates are set to go through the dates and give their feedback to the Union.

With the Nationwide and Championship teams set to play their quarter-final and semi-final clashes to determine who will earn promotion to the second and top tier,  the Union has set the date for promotion playoffs as December 5 and teams will take a Christmas break between 26 December.

Kenya Cup, on the other hand, is scheduled to commence 16 January  2021 to 3 April for the regular season.

The playoffs are scheduled to run from 10 April to 1 May. The second option has seen the union set out 9 January as the start date for the Kenya Cup and Championship promotion playoffs with the regular season action set to run from 16 January to 13 February.

The Enterprise Cup opening rounds are slated for 27 February.  The regular season is then set to continue as from  6 March to 3 April, break for Great Rift  Nakuru 10s and resume 17 April to 22 May.  Championship promotion and the Enterprise Cup action will follow and the National 7s Campaign is set to run as from 7 August to 26 September.

The Floodies are slated for 2 October to 16 October while Safari 7s will kick off 7 days later.

The final option has the promotion playoffs being played between 2 January to 9 January with the regular season to the finals set to take place between 30 April and 15 May.  Great Rift Nakuru 10s will be on 17 April before teams embarking on Enterprise Pre-Quarters scheduled for 24 April.

Championship qualifiers will be between 1 May to 15 May while Enterprise Cup quarters, semis and finals will be played between 22 May and 5 June.  The 7s Campaign is planned for 31 July to 18 September. Impala Floodies will be between 25 September to 9 October while Safari 7s will 23 October.
