Kenya Rugby transfer window will swing open on Monday 5 October 2020 to allow the clubs to make signings in preparation for the 2020/21 season.
According to a statement by Kenya Rugby Union Honorary Secretary Ian Mugambi, the window will shut on 30th November 2020, meaning clubs will have 57 days to conduct their transfers.
New signings for KRU Championship and Nationwide sides that are awaiting playoffs will not be allowed to feature in the promotion playoffs which are set to happen just before the 2020/21 season.
“With the leagues declared over – the transfer window shall open on Monday 5th October to 30th November 2020. With regard to the playoff matches for promotion, only players who played in the previous season shall be eligible,” reads part of the statement by Mugambi.
Last year’s transfer window opened after the 15s season and closed just before the 7s campaign with the new signings being allowed to feature in the 7s campaign. The clubs were also given another 14-day mid transfer window between December and January.
