Ugandan International Philip Wokorach scored on his first Federal 1 start as his club ASBC Rugby – Bédarrides / Châteauneuf-du-Pape earned the second win of the season, beating Drancy Rugby Club 27-8 in a match played on Sunday at Guy Moquet Stadium.
This was Wokorach’s full debut in Federal 1 and it came just seven days after he made his first appearance off the bench last weekend. The former Kabras RFC man was drafted in starting squad as an inside centre ahead of the trip to Drancy.
His side scored four tries in the clash to earn a bonus point on the road. Drancy were reduced to 14 after a yellow card in the opening minutes and Adil Achahbar solo effort try handed the side a lead. Wokorach would open his account for the club after receiving a pass while in his own half and raced on to score the second try which saw the side lead 12-0.
