Kenya Harlequins have expressed their devastation following the death of their former player Allan Makaka who died after a road accident on Saturday 23 May 2020.
The former Musingu High School Alumnus joined Quins in 2004 from Ulinzi and he was able to win the National 7s Circuit title in his second and third years at the club (2005 and 2006). In 2008 he bagged the Kenya Cup title with the side.
Besides Kenya Harlequins, he featured for Kenya 7s in the World 7s Series, World Cup and the Commonwealth games.

Quins revealed that the winger remained loyal despite retiring as he kept mentoring young players and did not shy away from airing his view that he believed would help the club.
The Club’s chairman Mike Wanjala said: All of us at Kenya Harlequins are shocked and deeply saddened at the death of Allan Makaka. Our prayers are with Allan’s wife, Lilian, the rest of his family and his loved ones. On this sad day, we grieve with you”
