Kabras were quick off the blocks and after the opening 40 minutes, they were in a comfortable lead 47-0 lead. Eighth man Lawrence Buyachi opened the scores after Kabras shoved Mwamba in a scrum contest in their area. Ntabeni Dukisa failed to add extras.

The side would move to 12 points after George Nyambua fed youngster Eugene Sifuna who raced on to score after a lineout. Dukisa added the extras this time round.

The gap widened after Kabras hit on a counter after Mwamba kicked away possession. Jone Kubu beat his markers in the 22 and produced a clean pair of heels to score the third try.  The fourth try was scored by Dukisa who was fed by Brian Tanga, the former converted his own try.

Sifuna turned to be a provider as he released Tanga for the fifth try. Minutes later Tanga put Brian Juma through for the sixth try for Kabras. Fly-half Biko Masiva at the other end was unable to give his side three points with his penalty attempt going wide.

Walter Okoth would join the scoresheet with the seventh try that was converted by Dukisa after the ball was channelled to him from a scrum.  With score seeming to be beyond Mwamba’s reach Ephraim Odour, Eugene Sifuna and Asuman Mugerwa were withdrawn and Max Adaka, Royal Mwale and Joseph Odero were thrown in.

The Sugarmen went to break leading 47-0. The tactician  Henly Du Plessis would then pull off Tanga, Buyachi, Timoci Senaite, Charlton Mokua and introduced Dan Angwech, Jeanson Musoga, Habil Malika and Ben Onyango to fill the slots. Minutes later Hillary Odhiambo was sin-binned for a high tackle.

Mwamba were also reduced to 14-men after Brian Kahura was sent off after a yellow card. Kabras entered the 50’s after George Nyambua crossed over the eight-try after an eighth man pick.  Mwamba managed to get the first try through Elvis Namusasi and Charles Chege added the extras for 10 points as Masiva had scored three points from the tee minutes earlier.
