The 2020 Six Nations competition entered the third round on February 22 – 23, which saw England, Scotland and France register victories.
Italy 0-17 Scotland
Scotland beat their hosts Italy 17-0 at the Stadio Olimpico on Saturday. It was a hardly contested match as the opening 20 minutes of the first half saw the scoreboard remain unchanged.
Stuatt Hogg was the first player on the score sheet in the 22nd minute. Chris Harris and Adam Hastings came in the second half to give Scotland two tries which handed them a win against a scoreless Italy.
Wales 23-27 France
France kept their dream of becoming 2020 Champions after edging Wales 27-23 at Principality Stadium.
Wales were first to enter the scoreboard via a penalty kick which saw two other penalties follow. Lewis and Bigger scored tries towards the end of the match but they were not enough to give them victories. Jalliberts missed a penalty that would have perhaps pulled them close to victory. Bouthier, Ntamack and Willemse’s tries gave the Frenchmen a narrow win.
England 24-12 Ireland
This was the last match of the weekend where the English saw off the Irish side 24-12.
England were to first to cross the try line through George Ford while Owen Farrell ensured the extras were in. Elliot Daly and Cowan-Dickie also got tries each while a penalty for England guaranteed them victory. Ireland tries were gotten through Robbie Henshaw and Andrew Porter.
The fourth round of the competition is set for 7th and 8th March where England face Wales, Ireland faces Italy and Scotland meets France.
