As the KRU Championship, regular season heads to the final week, there are no changes in the top four as Strathmore Leos and MMUST have already booked a place in the semis.
Mean Machine are also sure of a place in the quarters. Its is guarantee that Strathmore will finish the regular season on top of the log regardless of the result on the final. Louis Kisia charges are enjoying one of the finest forms in this tier and are on the verge of finishing the regular season with a 100% win record.
Leos have picked 71 points out of the possible 75 in the last 15 matches. They have collected 11 bonus points out the possible 15.
MMUST sit second after having lost just one of the last 15 matches in this campaign. With 14 wins and seven bonus points, MMUST have 63 points and will host the second semi-final.
Mean Machine who have lost five of the last 15 matches of the season have 49 points. They have managed nine bonus points in this campaign. Eshichuma will host the first quarterfinal when the league enters the knock out phase.
USIU Martials are fourth with 37 points and will need to win the final game of the season to seal the fourth slot. They can still finish fourth if fifth-placed Northern Suburbs fails to win their final fixture of the season. Suburbs have 34 points.
Egerton Wasps and South Coast are tied on the 31 points and can both qualify for the playoffs if they win on the final day and Suburbs fails to pick points in their clash.
Eldoret based sides UoE Trojans and Eldoret are not safe yet, they are just three points above the danger zone. Former Kenya Cup sides Catholic Monks and Mombasa risk relegation. Failure to pick a win or two losing bonus points will see Mombasa get relegated even if Monks fall on the final day.
A win Monks will clearly lock Mombasa out of the second tier. Both sides can survive if they win and Eldoret or UoE falls without two losing bonus points.
