Despite not being in the finals this time around, New Zealand have remained top on the World 7s Series log after four rounds of the 2019/20 season.
New Zealand have 76 points which are from two cup wins, one final appearance and fifth-place finish in Sydney. They are nine points above South Africa who have made three final appearances this season winning one.
France are third with 56 points from the four rounds while England have 54 points. After winning the Sydney 7s, Fiji sit fifth with 53 points.
Last season’s first runners up USA are sixth with 47 points same to Australia who are seventh on the log. Argentina have amassed 45 points, 12 above ninth-placed Ireland and 1oth placed Canada.
Kenya 7s dismal run in Sydney which saw them finish bottom in the tournament collecting just a point sees them drop to position 11 with 26 points.
Scotland have 25 points from the four outings while Samoa have bagged 23 points. Spain with 17 points, Japan and Wales at nine each close the list.
