ESS Wrap: KCB, Kabras win big on match-day 11

Kabras II picked the ninth win of the season after beating Kenya Harlequins 46-5 in an Eric Shirley Shield match played at the Bull Ring on Saturday afternoon.

Fijian Fullback Avisai Kuruyawa and Bede Enonda scored twice in the win. Kevin Keegan opened the scores beating his former side’s defence via a dummy to score. Dan Angwech added the extras but failed to hit the target after Enonda scored leaving the scores at 12-0.

Valerian Tendwa and Avisai added two more tries with Angwech conversion send the side 24-0 up. Enonda scored his second try before heading to the break for a 31-0 lead. 15 points in the closing half saw the sugarmen reach 46 points while Quins managed a five-pointer in the closing minutes.

Champions KCB continued to impress in the competition whipping Kisumu RFC 64-0 at Kisumu Polytechnic Grounds. The win means they will continue enjoying the stay on top of the log.

At Impala Club, Oilers rose from a 20-19 trail at halftime to beat Impala Saracens. The Nakuru based side scored 13 points and conceded three in final half to win 32-23.

Nakuru won 20-19 at Railways club against Mwamba while Blak Blad were handed a 28-0 following Western Bulls no show.
