Kenya 7s include Injera, Okwach in squad for Hamilton & Sydney 7s

Kenya 7s technical bench has released the list of 13 players who will be in action during the third and fourth round of the World 7s Series- Hamilton and Sydney 7s.

Kenya’s leading scorer Collins Injera is back in the squad for the first time since the 2017/18 season. He missed the opening two rounds of the 2019/20 season due to a shoulder injury picked while playing in the Safari 7s.

He is joined by KCB’s Geoffrey Okwatch who set to make his World 7s Series debut and Herman Humwa. Jacob Ojee and Dennis Oscar are out due to injuries while Dan Sikuta has been given a rest.

Andrew Amonde, Jeffrey Oluoch, Alvin Otieno, Bush Mwale,  Billy Odhiambo, Daniel Taabu, Nelson Oyoo, Willy Ambaka, Johnstone Olindi and Vincent Onyala have kept their place in the squad.

Oscar Ouma, Sammy Oliech and Dennis Ombachi will not be part of the two legs despite having resumed training. The team leaves Nairobi for Hamilton on Saturday 18 January 2020

Hamilton which is scheduled for 25- 26 January in  New Zeland and Sydney set for 31-1 February will have no quarters.

Pool winners will proceed directly to the semi-finals. Kenya 7s have been pooled together with South Africa, England and Japan at Hamilton.
