Homeboyz beat Impala, Quins thrash Kisumu for third win

Homeboyz stood tall to pick maximum points from visiting Impala Saracens following a 32-22 in a match played at Jamhuri Grounds.

The opening minutes saw Ervin Asena and Quinto Oongo miss their early penalties.  Duncan Ekasi would land Impala’s the opening try while Asena trimmed the gap to two points with a penalty. Kenya 7s star Alvin Otieno crossed over for a try that took the host to eight points.

Oongo’s penalty at the other end saw Impala tie the scores but Homeboyz went ahead following a try from Bob Muhati try.  The attempt to widen the gap by adding a conversion was thwarted after Asena’s conversion bounced off the post.

On return from the break, Stanley Isogol pushed the scores further with an unconverted try. Impala pulled back but Bush Mwale landed the fourth try while Muhati’s second try of the game saw the side stretch the game beyond Impala’s reach.

Impala would be the last ones to score in the match. Quins picked their third win of the season whipping Kisumu 45-15.
