Homeboyz assistant coach Simon Odongo says watching the side rise from last season’s struggles is his best moment of 2019.
The Jamhuri based side failed to impress in the 2018/19 season under the tutelage of Odongo and missed to qualify for the playoffs. It has been a different case in 2019/20 where they have lost just two matches out of the nine played this season.
The Deejays are currently in content for the first-ever Kenya Cup title under the guidance of Coach Jason Hector who is assisted by Odongo. At this time of the year, they are at position three on the log, six points behind leaders Kabras.

According to the coach, the best performance of the year was in the clash against Kabras where his charges ended the Sugarmen’s unbeaten run.
“I think having settled after last season which we had some turmoil is what counts for me. We are much better than last season and that is a plus for us. Then the boys raising hands against Kabras to win can be the highlight of the year,” Odongo told Scrummage.
