KCB tactician nominated for Coach of Year award at SOYA

KCB head Coach Curtis Olago has been nominated for the 2019 Sports Personality of the Year Awards.

The coach will face off with battle with four other coaches for the Coach of the year award with the awarding ceremony scheduled for January 24 in Mombasa.

Olago guided KCB to the third straight Kenya Cup title after beating Kabras 23-15 in Kakamega early in the year. The tactician also led the side to defend the Impala Floodlit tournament for the third time and retained the Eric Shirley Shield.

Out of the 25 matches in 2019, KCB have won 25 and lost once, the loss came against Kabras on matchday six.

He will compete for the award with David Ouma who led Harambee Starlets to CECAFA Triumph, Carey Odhiambo who lead Kenya to the African Cup Basket Ball finals. Paul Bitok and Alex Alumira are also on the list.
