Mwamba’s dependable trio to miss Prinsloo, Owour set for 7s debut

Mwamba will miss the services of the dependable trio as they travel to Nakuru for the Prinsloo 7s set for Nakuru this weekend.

Kevin Wambua will be without co-captains Billy Odhiambo, Eliakim Kichoi and Steve Sikuta who have a different sets of injuries. According to the club’s official portal, Billy has a hairline fracture on his wrist while Kichoi and Sikuta have shoulder and ankle injuries respectively.

“Billy has a hairline fracture in his right wrist, Eliakim has trouble with both his shoulders and knee while Sikuta has failed to recover from an ankle injury he picked from Kisumu last weekend,” Levis Kituyi, team physiotherapist told Mwamba official portal.

Youngster Nicholas Kato is also unavailable as he is away on duty with Laiser Hill School at East Africa Secondary Games in Tanzania.

Tony Owuor is set to make sevens debut together Mellegy Tendwa while Jeremy Chimwani and George Omolla have been recalled.  The team will be captained by Ronnie Omondi and returning Collins Injera.

Mwamba will face off with KCB, Northern Suburbs and Mombasa in Pool A
