Kenya Lionesses 15s provisional squad has been released ahead of the upcoming International assignments.
Head Coach Felix Oloo started off the training sessions with 50 players after the Aberdeen Shikoyi Franchise tournament and 10 have been dropped after the first week.
The coach remains with 40 players who will getting ready for the upcoming assignments.
Notable names in the squad include Kenya Lionesses 7s skipper Philadelphia Olando and her fellow teammates Sheila Chajira, Camilla Cynthia, Grace Adhiambo, Janet Okello, Janet Owino.
The team which trains every Monday, Wednesday and Friday’s is getting ready for the Elgon Cup clash which will be their first assignment. The Women Elgon Cup returns after a four year absence, 2015 being the last time the ladies took part in the competition.
The clash against Uganda will be a preparation for the World Cup qualifiers set for 9-17th August in Johannesburg. Kenya is in Pool A alongside Uganda, Madagascar and South Africa.
