Kabras head Coach Henly Du Plessis picked his senior players for praises after the 2018/19 rugby 15s season.
The tactician insists that his entire squad put up a great fight in the season but he believes Ugandan utility Philip Wokorach was one of the most outstanding players in his squad.
The Ugandan danger man scooped the Most Valuable Player award in the Enterprise Cup finals, and got the Kenya Cup top try scorer and top points scorer award after the season.
Du Plessis is happy to have the likes Nick Baraza, George Nyambua, Dan Sikuta, Brian Tanga and Max Adaka in his squad. He termed them as the players who made a big difference in the season that they won the maiden Enterprise Cup and finished second in Kenya Cup.
“The team really worked hard as a unit but Philip Wokorach had a good season. He was the top try scorer and top points scorer. Players like Nick Baraza, George Nyambua, Dan Sikuta, Brian Tanga and our captain Max Adaka are guys who made a big difference for us this season. Am pleased to have the guys on board,” Du Plessis told Scrummage in an earlier interview.
He revealed that the side will have a review of just concluded season to establish areas that they will need to work on before the new season. The South African coach also noted that they decide on areas to strengthen but hinted that they may have minimal changes.
“After the break, we will sit down and do our review to see what we need to change. On the additions we will know after the we review our season but I dont think we will have a lot of changes in the squad, ” he added.
The coach is currently away in South Africa for a break and he is expected to jet back to start the National 7s Circuit preparations.
