After winning the Kenya Cup title and Eric Shirley Shield Cup, KCB will earn 1,060 000 from the league organizers.
This follows the early season sponsorship deal which saw Bamba Sports come in as KRU’s official broadcaster after signing a sponsorship deal worth Ksh35,000,000. The Union announced that the money would be channeled to the clubs through the end of season prize money system.
KCB beat Kabras 23-15 in Kakamega to bag the seventh Kenya Cup title. They were awarded a dummy cheque of 1 Million shillings which is cash allocated to the champion. Their ESS side also retained the title after beating Homeboyz and they will bring to the table 60,000.
Kabras will be awarded a total of 60, 000 shilling after finishing second. Mwamba and Kenya Harlequins are expected to pocket 400, 000 and 300,000 respectively.
Nakuru and Impala have 200, 000 each. Nondies, Oilers, Homeboyz and Blad will also earn.
