Tactical discipline and good decision making is the secret behind Impala Saracens impressive performance against Mwamba in the Enterprise Cup, head coach Frank Ndong has revealed.
Impala pummeled Mwamba 71-19 in the Enterprise Cup quarters staged at Impala Club on Saturday. It was the highest score of the weekend. Ndong says their impressive run was due to the corrections they made after losing Kabras.
When asked if he has now set his eyes on winning both the Enterprise Cup and the Kenya Cup title, the coach responded that he will be taking a match at a time this knock out phase.
“It was all down to tactical discipline, good decision making, and skill execution, the things we did not do against Kabras. Our plan is to take each game at a time in the knock out stage, with our next game being against Kenya Harlequins. We break this weekend for the 10 aside but we want to build momentum from this,” he said after the match.
Impala Saracens will be back in action on 27 April to tackle Quins in a clash which will determine if they play in the Kenya Cup finals. The semifinal clash of the Enterprise Cup clash pitting KCB will be held on May 4.
