Nakuru and Mwamba are through to the Kenya Cup playoffs despite the latter losing to Oilers in their game played in Nakuru.
Wanyore won 26-12 against relegated Mean Machine. Nakuru started off impressively to score three converted tries for a 21-0 lead at the break. The second half saw Machine reduce the gap thanks to two tries and conversion. A late try by Ken Mwangi was enough to hand Nakuru a bonus point win.
Mean Machine will return to the championship while Nakuru are back in the playoffs after last season’s miss.
Mwamba also proceeded to the knock out stage despite suffering 32-22 loss to Menengai Oilers in Nakuru. Kulabu fought hard to pick a losing bonus point that saw them move to 45 points.
Impala have also qualified after for the playoffs after Nondies fall.
