Kenya thrash Hong Kong for second win in the Qualifiers

Kenya Lionesses picked the second straight win in the World 7s Series Qualifiers in Hong Kong after thrashing Hong Kong 36-5.

The African Womens 7s champions opened the scores at the second minute after Grace Adhiambo crossed over for unconverted try.

Diana Awino added the second unconverted try for a 10-0 lead.  H9ng Kong’s Sarah Lucas pulled one back but Awino ensured the Kenyan side proceeded to break with a 10-point lead.

Camilla Atieno openned the second half scores by bagging try that was converted by Janet Awino. Skipper Philadelphia Olando send Kenya to a 29-5 lead after crossing over for the fifth try.

In-form Adhiambo would return to the scoresheet for her second try and added the extras for  36-5win.

Kenya who beat Uganda 24-0 will be eyeing the third straight win when they tackle Papua Guinea in the final pool B match.
