Impala Saracens handed beat struggling Mean Machine 25-10 in a Kenya Cup match played at RFUEA Grounds.
Mean Machine were the first on the scoresheet following a penalty by Festus Shiasi. Impala then launched patient build up and they would soak Machine players before Xviaver Bett released Kelvin Ronoh to score their first try of the game.
Bett added the extras to put his side five points up. Minutes after his conversion, Ekirapa Paul scored at the other end and end for Machine and Shiasi’s accurate kick ensured they led once again.
Anthony Odhiambo sent Impala back to lead after dotting their second try but they missed the chance to add the extras. The teams would go to the break with Impala leading 13-10.
In the final half, Anthony Nyandisi was set up Sam Onsumu to score, taking the scores to 18-10. Billy Omondi scored the final try of the match with Odhiambo added the extras for a 25-10. The loss means the side will stay on 11 points and will not avoid the chop after Blak Blad picked a crucial point.
