Kenya 7s recall several big guns for Hong Kong, Singapore duty

Kenya 7s head Coach Paul Murunga has released his squad for the Hong Kong 7s leg set for 5-7 April and the Singapore 7s scheduled for 13-14 April.

Murunga’s squad has been boosted by the availability of senior players and he has made changes eight changes. Jeffery Olouch will captain the side and he is joined by fellow senior players Andrew Amonde, Nelson Oyoo, Augustine Lugonzo, Eden Agero, Dan Sikuta and Dennis Oscar.

Mark Wandeto is back in the squad while Shadon Munoko who was introduced at the Vancouver 7s retains his place alongside Daniel Taabu, Vincent Onyala, Bush Mwale and Johnstone Olindi.

Kenya have been placed in Pool B alongside giants Fiji, New Zealand, Australia. Pool A has Vancouver 7s Champions  South Africa, Scotland and Japan while B consists of France, Argentina, Canada and Portugal.

The final pool has World 7s Series leaders the USA who are joined by England, Wales and Spain. In the 2018 edition, Fiji and Kenya faced off in the finals with Fiji beating Kenya 24-14 to win the fourth straight title.
