Despite playing the better part of the game with 14 men, Mean Machine beat Blak Blad 25-3 in a Kenya Cup staged at UoN Grounds.
Machine were keen to revenge the 32-19 loss suffered in the first leg meeting and maximum points would keep their survival hopes alive.
They crossed over through James Kangethe while Festus Shiasi missed the chance to add the extras. Minutes later Kangethe was red-carded and the side had to play the clash 14 men.
Machine held on the slim lead till the halftime break. On return from the break, Felix Juma converted a penalty for Blak Blad to trim the gap to two points.
Mean Machine added three points through Shiasi to lead 8-3. Victor Shaviya then landed two converted tries to hand his side the second win of the season.
The win means Mean Machine have 11 points while Blad and Strathmore Leos are on 16 and 14 points respectively. The final two matches will be crucial for sides.
