Nakuru win KRU 10 aside fourth leg

Nakuru RFC have the fourth leg of the KRU Women’s 10 aside Festivals after a 5-0 win over Impala Saracens in a match staged at Impala Club on Sunday.

The closely contested first half ended 0-0 after the teams failed to breach their opponent’s defence. In the final half, Nakuru were able to breach Impala’s defence and landed the opening try just after  Elizabeth Wekesa was sent off for a sin-binned.

Nakuru would hold on to the slim lead to bag the second title this season in the competition.

To reach the finals, Impala edged Homeboyz 7-5. Homeboyz were the first ones to score after Dorcas Mokaya crossed the whitewash but failed to add the extras. Impala responded with a converted try from  Ann Njeri.

In the first semi-finals, Nakuru had eliminated Mwamba after 12-10 win. Homeboyz finished third while Suburbs got the fifth position.
