Bungoma win County 15s, Ebusolili shock Vihiga in Chavakali

Bungoma High have won the Bungoma County 15s title after edging Chesamis High 7-5 in a closely contested final played on Saturday.

Chesamis were the first on the score-sheet scoring an unconverted try. Bungoma replied through Discent Ekisa who dotted Bungoma’s opening try to level the scores and Nassir Abdalla added the extras to put his side two points up.

The side would hold on the slim lead and secured a ticket to represent the County in the regional games. Bungoma finished third after a 35-0 Kakamu high school in the third play-offs.

Halfback Brian Mwenje and winger Victor Sanganyi crossed over for two tries each. Zephrine Nalianya, Moses Juma and Noel Musumba scored one try each.

In Vihiga, Ebusolili shocked Vihiga 29-07 to bag the 15s  title in the finals staged at Chavakali High School. Mbale got the third spot after a 10-5 over Emusire.

Ebusolili beat Emusire 14-0 in the semi-final as  Vihiga Mbale sneaked past Mbale with a narrow 8-7 win in the semis.
